You can hear that it's noisy in the classroom and the boys are all speaking in French. Every now and then I hear English and I send them to the door to cross "La ligne magique".
This blog was created to demonstrate the effective of the Accelerative Integrated Method (AIM) for teaching French. These videos are not meant to and could never replace formal training in the methodology. This blog focuses on one grade 3 Core French class. Most of these students have never had French before. One boy comes from French immersion. If you are looking for my resource blog, please click the link below.

Day 55
We have learned a new Entry Routine.
On a different note, why is it that my students always have to go to the bathroom or drink water at the beginning of French class? I normally try to be patient as it's a great opportunity for them to learn how to ask these two important questions but today I lose my patience somewhat:
We try a new activity today. I am introducing a list of words for the first time (we learned the gestures but haven't seen the words yet). I ask my students to
- fais l'action
- donne une phrase avec le mot
They LOVED this activity! (probably bcz they won 10 group points for each correct sentence).
It was a fun class!

Day 35
Sorry I did not film Day 30! Things have been so busy at school: lots of missed classes due to field trips, P/T interviews, sports events, Remembrance Day and Winter celebration rehearsals, a long weekend, etc. etc.
Here is our new Entry routine which we sing:

Here is the first 10 minutes of class (the film's first slide is incorrect: it is not the Entry Routine):

You may notice that I have changed "Les journaux" to "Les agendas" for homework diaries.

Day 15
This is Day 15 (I made a mistake editing the video and called it Day 11).
I had to get cross with a boy today who would not stop touching a heavy wooden plaque that was hanging on the wall behind him. If it had fallen, it would have caused him serious damage!
